Maria Phillips

Maria joined loanDepot with over seventeen years of experience. She brings a wide spectrum of mortgage expertise, including strong communication and marketing skills. Her involvement in the newest industry guidelines allows her to advise her clients on the right loan structure. Her formal education includes a Bachelor in Communications and Journalism from The University of New Mexico and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Prior to becoming a full time Loan Consultant, Maria worked in banking for five years.

What Maria enjoys most about a career in the mortgage industry is the ability to solve a puzzle with each transaction. Since every client needs unique guidance, she’s able to see a comprehensive picture, and come up with superior solutions for structuring the loan. Being able to play an important part in a family’s life, and seeing them smile at the closing table is undeniably the most rewarding part of being a Loan Consultant. No wonder Maria’s efforts have been recognized by several Top Producer Awards over the last decade.

Maria is married and works with her husband as teamPhillips.  She has three children, 16-year-old daughter, 10-year-old daughter, and 9-year-old son. Her hobbies include playing flute and piccolo, putting together difficult puzzles, and playing board games with the family. Her family owns two dogs, four parakeets, three dwarf hamsters and a turtle named swimmy Swimmer. In her free time, Maria also volunteers her time for organizations such as Paws and Stripes, Albuquerque Christian Home, American Heart and Stroke Association, and Delta Delta Delta Sorority.
