Mick Johnson

Mick joined loanDepot in 2019 bringing a positive attitude and a desire to help others achieve a smooth home buying experience. He completed Galena High School and then went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree from Humboldt State University and an MBA from Arizona State University. Post college, he signed to play professionally in the European Football League in Barcelona, Spain for the Badalona Dracs.

Mick originally pursued the mortgage origination business to carry on his family legacy. His family has played an active part in the Northern Nevada and California regions for over 70 years. Helping clients in their home buying journey and matching them with the best loan is something Mick finds very rewarding. Whether it be a first-time buyer or an experienced one, he strives to make the process as effortless and stress-free as possible. He is thrilled to share his knowledge and assist new clients with finding the best loan scenario to match their needs.

In his free time, Mick enjoys traveling and outdoor activities such as skiing, sailing, mountain biking, football, as well as spending time with family. He is a Member of the League to Save Lake Tahoe, which is dedicated to protecting and restoring the environmental health and beauty of the Lake Tahoe Basin. A golden retriever lover, his family includes three of the loyal pups.
